Kanye West’s Yeezy Clothing Company Supposedly Owes California $600k in Unpaid Taxes

Kanye West’s Yeezy clothing company reportedly owes a rather large six figure amount to the state of California in unpaid taxes for the last two years. A series of state tax lien notices show that Yeezy Apparel actually owes California over $600,000 in unpaid taxes. Yeezy was sent letter in July of 2021, February and September.

Tax expert and USC professor Edward McCaffery stated, “Multiple California tax liens, adding up to $600,000, that’s certainly a sign of either extreme incompetence or extreme cash problems. That is kind of an Amber Alert for the financial health of the enterprise.”

Kanye has been very vocal about financial frustrations he has had since recent interviews where he claimed that his bank froze his account with $75 million in it and his accountants estimated that he owed roughly $50 million in taxes for this year.

It isn’t the first time just this year that Ye has owed money, being sued for $4.5 million by a former business manager, a production company for $7 million and a fashion clothing rental service for an additional $400,000. Smokepurpp also claimed that Kanye owes him $9 million. Kanye’s billionare status and net worth took a massive hit after his recent anti-Semitic comments which had him lose his lucrative partnerships with adidas, Gap, Balenciaga, Def Jam, and more.

However, Yeezy has doubled down on his comments most recently saying, “Yeah, Jewish people can’t tell me who I can love and who I can’t love, You can’t force your pain on everyone else. Jewish people, forgive Hitler today. Let it go, let it go, and stop trying to force it on other people. Goodnight.”
