The 2016 Juno Awards occurred this weekend and there were many stars celebrated. This Canadian event was held in Calgary and is commonly known as the Grammys for Canadian music. It wasn’t just your average award show either. This award show was the first ever shown in 4K!
Justin Bieber came away a big winner, taking home the Juno Fan Choice Award as well as the Pop Album of the Year award. While the fans in Canada do love Bieber, they gave him boos for accepting the award via video instead of being there in person.
The Weeknd was the big winner of the night, winning five awards including taking away one from Bieber – the Album of the Year award.
The event was quite huge, lasting two nights with the gala dinner happening on Saturday night. Many of the awards given out at the 2016 Juno Awards were done so at this gala dinner.
