It’s easy to let things go and perhaps not give the backyard more than a passing glance through the window or slider during the cold, wet months. But as those days come to a close, and you are more of the mindset of patio dinner parties and hanging out outdoors all summer, it can be overwhelming how much needs to be done to get your space into shape.
There’s nothing like a good and thorough scrubbing to lift all the muck, mud and debris left over from this rainy winter. Trimming the trees and bushes, clearing the leaves and a good weeding session in your green areas will make everything fresh to enjoy.
A thorough rinsing and wiping down of furniture, décor and fences and a toss in the washer of any pillows, chair covers, rugs and more that are machine washable gives it all the clean feel.
For a deeper clean of outdoor patios, decks, walls, walkways and other hardscape surfaces, consider renting a pressure washer to lift more of the grime; you can rent one for the afternoon or a day from Home Depot or equipment rental services starting at about $40 a day.
