Julia Roberts made news this week with word that she will present George Clooney, her Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 12 co-stars, with the American Film Institute’s ‘Life Achievement Award’ at the ceremony held this Thursday, June 7th, at the Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
Julia and George go way back, from the Oceans’ movies to the film ‘Money Monster’ in 2016. In fact, she directed her first film in the George Clooney’s ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,’ so she’ll have plenty of material to use for the night. George will be honored on the 7th for his work in front of and behind the camera, from his work with the film Oh Brother, Where Art Thou, The Descendants, 2000’s and more. He’s also being honored for his humanitarian work around the world. There’s even a special on TNT entitled ‘The 46th AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to George Clooney,’ airing June 21st, 10pm.
