We’ve heard a few good excuses to miss work, but The View co-star Joy Behar was not on set for a few days; she sliced open her hand over the weekend while cutting an avocado. Immediately after the incident, Joy was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was treated, kept overnight for observations.
ABC scored a hit with the female-based talk show The View, which made its debut in August of 1997. Joy Behar has had a bevy of co-stars join her for the show, including, Star Jones, conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie O’Donnell, Jenny McCarthy, and Rosie Perez.
Joy Behar is the other remaining original member, earning a Daytime Emmy during her television career; not bad for a woman who began her career as a receptionist and producer on the ‘Good Morning America show.’
