John Mayer has some thoughts about Taylor Swift’s Reputation

Even though the two were said to have dated, and parted ways, with Taylor Swift penning songs about him, John Mayer has shared his thoughts on his ex’s work. While taking to the stage at an iHeartRadio concert held on Wednesday night in Burbank, California, the Your Body Is A Wonderland singer found himself caught up in an awkward moment on stage after making a small vocal faux pas.

During a question and answer session in between songs, John, 41, was speaking about his own reputation as he reportedly said: ‘I was thinking about reputation…’ Of course this was all a loyal Swifty needed to think he was referring to 28-year-old Taylor’s most recent album, with one fan in particular screaming in excitement, according to Us Weekly, at the mere mention of it.

John then quickly clarified: ‘Not the album, but it’s fine. It’s a fine piece of work.’ That it is. He added in a harsh blow: ‘It’s cheap songwriting. It’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!’ That’s bullshit. It really humiliated me.’
