Joe Perry Suffers Heart Attack on Stage

The ‘Hollywood Vampires’ out on tour, and there has been plenty of excitement so far, though not the kind the band would have preferred. The group stars Joe Perry of Aerosmith, actor and sometimes musician Johnny Depp, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum, and longtime rocker Alice Cooper.

Last night, the band was rocking to a receptive crowd at the Amphitheater on the Coney Island Boardwalk when suddenly, during the second song of the set, Joe Perry collapsed on stage. Joe Perry, 65, sat in front of the drums during one of the tunes, stood up, then fell to his knees passing out. Medical staff and roadies rushed the stage to assist Joe who was taken by ambulance to an area hospital, then transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in the middle of the night.

Joe is in critical but stable condition according to his doctors, having what has been initially diagnosed as a cardiac episode. The entire moment was captured and posted on YouTube minutes after the incident.
