Monday Night Football is one of the biggest nights of the year and with Jon Gruden heading to the NFL to be the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, there’s an open spot as a commentator. Well, rumor has it that ESPN knows who they want to fill that void and they’ve offered the man big money for it. ESPN wants Jason Witten, the current Cowboys tight end who has been linked to retirement rumors lately, to be on Monday Night Football as a commentator.
Witten is only set to make a little less than $2 million next year with the Cowboys if bonuses are hit, but with ESPN and MNF, he could be in the low $4 million range! These are just rumors of course, but if anything does become official we will surely let you know.
