Jane Fonda has not always been a popular figure in American culture. Sure, she’s the daughter of the late and legendary Henry Fonda and accomplished actress in her own right, but a polarizing political activist during the Vietnam War – the wounds that still sting.
Now the 70-year-old star of Grace and Frankie is talking to People magazine about a variety of things, including the suicide of her mother. Jan had thought the majority of her life that her mother had died of a heart attack; only in later years did she discover that her mother took her own life while being treated in a medical facility. She also talks to People magazine about the 60s, her marriage to media mogul Ted Turner and more. Jane wrote her memoir ‘My Life So Far’ in 2005, and has been choosy as to when and what she reveals to the press.
