Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band began making music in the late 60s off the Jersey Shores, paying their dues in long rehearsals and in live concerts. Although Bruce and the Band have made it to the promised land, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, two members are no longer with us – Clarence Clemons the gritty big man, the saxophonists, and keyboardist Danny Federici.
Jake Clemens joined the band when his uncle Clarence died, and is making a name for himself outside of the E Street shingle. He’s just released a single called “Janine,” a song about a woman in an abusive relationship, and has started an online community self-help website called ‘The Janine Project.’
His latest solo LP Fear & Love, came out earlier in the year, generating only a few live concerts for the road. Keep in mind, he’s a youngster in the business, so his tour and exposure are being closely monitored.
