Indie band, Boygenius, recently played a live surprise set on Tuesday, March 14th, at the Austin Airport to kick off the South SXSW music festivities. The group consists of Julien Baker and Phoebe Bridgers. They surprised fans by playing material off of the upcoming album, “True Blue,” “Emily I’m Sorry” and “Not Strong Enough” at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
Their performance was directly in front of an official SXSW 2023 banner as well as a white poster that read, “Boygenius.”
Boygenius originally formed back in 2018, when they released their self-titled EP in October of 2018.They are set to release their upcoming album, The Record, on March 31st.
