As the AMAs approach, people are wondering who will be taking the title for Favorite Pop/Rock Duo or Group. Since Maroon 5 has won twice before, a third victory may be in the cards for the band. They would join an eclectic list of triple champs: Aerosmith, The Black Eyed Peas, Hall and Oats, and One Direction. However there is speculation that Imagine Dragons may leave Maroon 5 in the dust.
Dragons have three total nominations this year, also including Artist of the Year, which might make them tough to beat in this race. But these winners are decided by fans voting online, so being nominated for the top award isn’t as important as mobilizing your listeners to vote for the category. We’ll just have to wait and see the verdict till October 9th, 2018.
