Illness Causes KISS to Push Back Australia Dates

On Monday morning, November 11th, rock band KISS sent a note to their fans regarding their End of the Road tour and the Australian tour dates.

The rockers said they were slated to leave the U.S. on Tuesday for the Perth launch of the outing on November 16th. Sickness has plagued the band, and has resulted in the gig at Perth’s RAC Arena being moved from November 16th to the end of the Australian tour, December 3rd.

“Due to a bad case of Influenza, doctors have advised Paul Stanley to rest for the next few days and not to undertake the long trip from Los Angeles to Perth,” read the note from the group. “With the expectation of Australian audiences high, KISS don’t want to not give 100% and so have made changes to the Australian and New Zealand dates.”

This isn’t the first medical issue that has affected the tour. In October, bassist/singer Gene Simmons has surgery to remove kidney stones that resulted in the postponement a show in Salt Lake City in September.

All tickets for the November 16th show will be accepted at the rescheduled gig, with no exchange necessary. At the conclusion of the Australian dates on December 3rd, the band is slated to leave immediately for a Japanese swing.
