Iconic Journalist Larry King Hospitalized with COVID-19

It has been reported that broadcast journalist Larry King has been in the hospital for the last 10 days, seeking treatment for the Covid-19. According to an unnamed source close to King, the 87 year old was moved from the ICU at a Los Angeles hospital on Sunday, where he continues to be treated.

Also per this close source, King believes he contracted the virus from a health care worker who traveled to his home. One of his sons also contracted Covid-19.

Despite suffering a stroke in March 2019, Larry King has worked relentlessly in radio and television.
Having faced world leaders, Hollywood royalty and sports stars in his career. The Brooklyn-born journalist got his start as a radio DJ in the 1950s before moving on to syndicated talk radio in the 1970s.

King has become such a television icon that he’s been impersonated on “Saturday Night Live” several times, including by Kevin Nealon in the 1990s and Fred Armisen in the 2010s.

When being interviewed in 2019, King proclaimed “My head doctor said I have an incomparable spirit”.
