March and April are two wonderful months of the year. You get to see great basketball, the first games of baseball and we’re one month closer to football season. What’s not to love about that?! There’s so much going on this month in sports. Here are some of the recent big headlines…
Lorenzo Romar, the head coach of the Washington Huskies basketball team, was fired on Wednesday after spending 15 seasons as their head coach. They really underachieved this season, going just 9-22.
Team Israel was eliminated from the World Baseball Classic and we are all saddened by the loss. They were taken down by Japan on Wednesday 8-3. Everyone loved their underdog story after they started 4-0 in the classic.
The first four games of the NCAA Tournament were played on Tuesday and Wednesday with some exciting results. Kansas State, Mt. St. Mary’s, UC Davis and USC were all winners and live to see another day.
