“He Hate Me” is Coming Back, and More Headlines This Monday

Although not a real surprise, LeBron James has signed a 4 year – $154 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, leaving Cleveland again.

In spite of earlier home cooking calls, Russia beat Spain in 4/3 in penalties at the end of regulation in the 2018 FIFA World Cup to advance in the most prestigious soccer event of the year.

New York Mets outfielder Bobby Bonilla got a check Sunday without picking up a ball or taking a drive to the park; the Mets are deferring the $5.9 million still owed Bobby from the 2000 season. The Mets still need to make 18 more payments due to Bonilla through 2035.

LeBron James signed a four-year, $154 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. It was a surprising move in terms of timing, but one that was not all that surprising considering the teams in consideration.

Do you remember the XFL? Vince McMahon wants you to remember, the man who threw the startup up XFL league together years ago. He’s expected to spend millions for a re-boot of the XFL, coming back in 2020. The XFL was the greatest mixture of raw marketing and WWE flair; it even had a player named ‘He Hate Me’ (at least that’s what it said on the back of his jersey.) The player was Rod Smart of the Las Vegas Outlaws. The XFL is scheduled to try it again for a kick off in February of 2020.
