HBO Max Crashes Due To Debut of ‘House of the Dragon’, Network Blames Amazon’s Devices

According to hollywoodreporter.com, House of the Dragon is living up to its predecessor, Game of Thrones through it ability to crash an app used to view the show. HBO subscribers took to Twitter in order to complain about being unable to watch the shows premiere due to issues caused by a mass amount of viewers, according to downdetector.com, the crash impacted at least 3,000 viewers. However, an HBO spokesperson stated that, “House of the Dragon is being successfully viewed by millions of HBO Max subscribers this evening, We’re aware of a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices that are having issues and are in the process of resolving for those impacted users.” Similar connection issues have happened in the past during premieres of the latter season of Game of Thrones, making House of the Dragon follow behind Game of Thrones in more ways than one.
