According to billboard.com, Harry Styles’ “As It Was” has returned to reclaim the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart. This makes the song now have 11 total weeks at the number one spot, claiming the longest stay atop the chart since Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” that also ran the chart for 11 weeks in January-March of 2020. The current record is set by Lil Nas X with Old Town Road ruling the chart for a total of 19 weeks. As It Was, has tallied 71.3 million radio airplay audience impressions, 15,2 million streams and 4,000 downloads sold in the August 19-25th tracking period, as reported by Luminate. The song also made history by being the first song to claim five distinct stays at number one on the Hot 100.
