Greta Van Fleet’s ‘You’re the One’ Lands Fourth Mainstream Rock No. 1

Greta Van Fleet is now four-for-four with promoted singles reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, as “You’re the One” rises 3-1 on the list dated March 16.

Greta Van Fleet has charted one other track on Mainstream Rock Songs: “Black Smoke Rising” was serviced to radio but not officially promoted. It appeared on the list for one week (June 2, 2018, at No. 39).

The band has run the table in the past year and a half, starting with “Highway Tune,” which ruled for five weeks beginning in September 2017. “Safari Song” (three weeks, beginning February 2018) and “When the Curtain Falls” (one week, November 2018) followed before the act’s latest leader. Greta Van Fleet matches The Pretty Reckless as the only acts to send their first four fully promoted singles that made the tally to No. 1 on Mainstream Rock Songs; the latter band did so in March 2014-November 2016.
