We love our tunes. Yes, we also love our movies. Hollywood is famous for finding the right song for the right scene, for the right reason. Here are even more great songs that appeared in our favorite movies…
Louie Armstrong stole the show with his song ‘What a Wonderful World,’ a classic that first aired on the radio in 1967. The song was poignantly used in the Robin Williams movie ‘Good Morning Viet Nam, and breathed new life and record sales for the song. The song was also featured in ‘Freaky Friday’ and ‘What a Girl Wants.’
In the movie of the same name, Lionel Richie and Diana Ross sang “Endless Love,” and the music world took notice. The song spent nearly 30 weeks on the charts and solidified Lionel as one of the greatest performers of our time.
The Spandau Ballet’s “True” was a killer song from the mid-80s that has been in the John Carpenter classic ‘Sixteen Candles,’ but was also featured in ‘The Wedding Singer.’
