Giving Thanks for The Best Music Ever Made

It’s Thanksgiving Day, a time for the family to gather around the dinner table and reflect upon the things we’re most thankful for. If you’re a rock and roll fan, we think you’ll agree with this list of what we appreciate most this year…

We could never repay the happiness and joy the founders of rock brought; the Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Buddy Holly, naming just a few. Each one of these great stars provided us with the soundtrack of our lives.

We’re thankful that Berry Gordy threw down his boxing gloves and asked his uncle for an $800 loan to start Motown Records. Had Berry continued to struggle as a fighter, we would not heard the genius of Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, Temptations, Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Mary Wells, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and/or Michael Jackson and the Jackson 5.

Finally, we’re thankful for Bob Seger getting healthy to be back on tour soon, U2, Murray Wilson (Beach Boys father), Robert Stigwood (Bee Gees manager), George Martin (Beatles manager) Led Zeppelin, The Four Seasons, The Bee Gees, Elton John and Bernie Taupin.
