The 2018 AmericanaFest kicks off September 11th, making the Music City THE place to be for a weeks’ worth of great music, meet and greets, and down-home food and festivities. There will be more than 500 shows, from various music genre’s – rock, country, blues to bluegrass, and folk.
Scheduled to appear this year are John Oates, Israel Nash, Joe Purdy, Jaime Wyatt, Clark and American Aquarium, Madison Ward and the Mama Bear, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lee Ann Womack and Friends, Carolina Story, Jade Jackson, and legendary down under acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel. In fact, Tommy alone makes this a festival to attend.
In addition to music, there will be over 50 sessions or spoken word panels dealing with various topics and issues. There will also be the Americana Honors and Awards ceremony, at the historic Ryman Auditorium September 12th.
