Jo Jo White was one of the great NBA players in the 70s for the Celtics and for Kansas in the late 60s. His time at both locations left their fans with great memories and so it’s hard to talk about him on this day. We say this because it has come out that he has passed away at the age of 71.
White was a star point guard who was an All-Star seven times and two-time NBA champion. His impact on both Boston and on the University of Kansas was so great that he had his number retired at both. His number 15 is retired at Kansas and his number 10 with Boston.
In his career, he averaged over 17 points per game to go along with 4.9 assists and 4 rebounds. Jo Jo White will be missed by everyone in the basketball community.
