Pink’s daughter, Willow, is making her own mark in the world of musical theater. On Sunday, July 28, Pink’s husband, Carey Hart, shared photos on Instagram of their 12-year-old daughter starring in her school’s production of Bye Bye Birdie. Willow looked every bit the part in full costume, complete with a red wig and pink tulle skirt.
In the photos, Willow is seen singing and dancing among her castmates, showcasing her burgeoning talent. “I’m beyond proud of my lil girl, Willow. She just wrapped up her 4-night theater production of Bye Bye Birdie, and she killed it,” Hart wrote in the caption. “I can’t believe how brave she is, and how she switches it on for her performance. To watch her progress over the last 5 years has been very special. Can’t wait to see you on that Broadway stage.”
Pink has previously shared her daughter’s passion for theater with media outlets, revealing Willow’s aspirations to be on Broadway. “She’s very into musical theater. I’m trying to get her to spread her wings a little bit,” Pink shared in May.
At the end of June, Pink posted a heartfelt video on Instagram, announcing Willow’s departure from the Summer Carnival tour to participate in her school play. In the clip, Pink and Willow chatted backstage about Willow’s excitement for Bye Bye Birdie. Willow expressed her love for theater and her dream to pursue it professionally.
“We’re learning a new song together, which is exciting. She’s not totally on board yet, but I want her to go do the damn thing,” Pink said, adding that the new song is in the Broadway genre.
With her talent and dedication, it seems only a matter of time before Willow takes her place on a Broadway stage, following in her mother’s impressive footsteps.
