Fernando Tatis Jr. Apologized Recently For ‘Mistakes’ After PED Suspension and Will Undergo Shoulder Surgery

According to sports.yahoo.com, Fernando Tatis Jr. apologized for his ‘mistakes’ and will be using his unplanned free time in order to be productive. The San Diego Padres star addressed media recently in saying, “I would like to start this day just by saying I’m truly sorry. I am. I’m really sorry. I have let so many people down, I have lost so much love from people. I have failed the front office of the San Diego Padres, Peter Seidler, A.J Preller, and I have failed the fans of this city. I have failed my country, I have failed my family, parents. I’m really sorry for my mistakes. I have seen my dreams turn into my worst nightmares in a couple days, a couple months. There’s no one to blame other than myself. I made a mistake.”

His suspension will remove him from the team for the rest of the regular season, the postseason, and the first couple of weeks of the 2023 season. Tatis originally told the media that he had taken the Clostebol as a part of a medication to treat a skin infection that started in June. He claims that he continued to take the medication up until testing positive in late July. Tatis also failed to run the drug by the team’s doctor to avoid any situations such as this one from occurring. While Tatis is suspended, he will be undergoing a shoulder surgery that he has put off for some time and should be fully recovered by the time he is allowed to return to playing.
