Great songs make you turn the knob up to 11 and send a ‘feel good’ vibe through your entire body when you hear them. In many cases, our favorite songs are catchy little tunes that were either one hit wonders or silly little ditties. Here’s a brief list of great songs that make you feel good.
“Thunder Island” by Jay Ferguson hit the charts in 1978 as a Top 10 tune, with Jay as the writer and performer. Its Jay’s only charted single, but the song was given its due in the movie ‘Anchorman 2 The Legend Continues.’
“Gimmie Some Lovin” by the Spencer Davis Group was always fun to listen to, and when it appeared in the Tom Cruise move ‘Days of Thunder’ it brought a little mystery to the song
“Party All the Time” from Eddie Murphy, “Don’t Give Up On Us Baby” by David Soul, “Heartbeat” by Miami Vice’s Don Johnson, and “Rappin Rodney,” were wonderful one hit wonders from actors or non-singers.
“Get Down Tonight” by KC & The Sunshine Band is a happy, fun, early 70s disco song that had a strong thumping beat, a wonderful opening to the song, and words that anyone could sing to with their disco clothes on.
