Fall Out Boy recently used some help from Nicole Kidman’s AMC ad in order to promote their new single, “Heartbreak Feels So Good,” on Monday, January 23rd. They made use of a ten second clip of Kidman sitting in a darkened AMC theater as she says, “Somehow, heartbreak feels good in a place like this.” However, for their own use the visual that is seen across the big screen is Fall Out Boy’s ne wmusic video along with frontman Patrick Stump singing, “Heartbreak feels so good” as he and his bandmates get into trouble in an alley.
The track is a follow-up to Fall Out Boy’s lead single, “Love From the Other Side” off of their eighth full-length album, So Much (for) Stardust, set to be released on March 24th through Fueled by Ramen.
Meanwhile, the band’s guitarist Joe Trohman will be taking a break for the time being stating, “Without divulging all the details, I must disclose that my mental health has rapidly deteriorated over the past several years. So, to avoid fading away and never returning, I will be taking a break from work which regrettably includes stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell.”
