The Brits know how to party, and Eric Clapton has announced that he will officially join the ‘British Summer Time’ outdoor festival at Hyde Park in London next July 8th. Other confirmed rock acts include Steve Winwood, Santana, Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters, and Gary Clarke Jr. The British Summer Time festival began in 2013, attracting over 100,000 in a two-weekend event.
Eric has been the topic at the dinner table of late, as his documentary ‘Eric Clapton: A Life in 12 Bars,’ opened in select cities a few days ago, and Showtime will air the air the film with its platform premiere on February 10th, 2018. Eric has suffered through lifelong addition, the loss of a young son, years of travel, multiple marriages. On the flip side, he’s received plenty of recognition. Most fans don’t know that he’s in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times; once as a solo artist, the second for being a member of the Yardbirds, the third induction as a member of Cream.
