Epic Games plans to give away 17 free games during its annual holiday sale for the Epic Games Store, the company announced last week.
As The Verge reports, the first free game you can snag is Destiny 2: Legacy Collection (2023), which includes three expansions: The Witch Queen, Beyond Light, and Shadowkeep. If you want to catch up on some older Destiny 2 content before the recently delayed release of The Final Shape, the Legacy Collection might be a good thing to add to your Epic Games Store library (though note that it doesn’t include the current Lightfall expansion). Legacy Collection will be available for free until December 20th at 11AM ET; at that time, the next free game will unlock.
The 2023 holiday sale has some pretty good deals, too.
- Epic is bringing back its Epic Coupons, and this time, they’ll give you 33 percent off any transaction that costs $14.99 or higher through the course of the sale.
- You can get the truly excellent Alan Wake II for $39.99, and during the sale, Epic will toss in a code for Alan Wake Remastered, too. (You’ll also get the Alan Wake Fortnite outfit, but that offer is available as long as you buy Alan Wake II on the Epic Games Store before October 27th, 2024.) With the Epic Coupon, you can get all that for just $26.79. (Just in time to try out the New Game Plus mode!)
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage is on sale for $34.99, and you can get it for $23.44 with the Epic Coupon.
- EA Sports FC is marked down by 60 percent to $27.99 — knock off 33 percent with the Epic Coupon and it comes out to just $18.75.
