Elton John’s “The Lockdown Sessions” Arrives Friday With a Line-up Across Generations

Elton John’s new collaborative album, The Lockdown Sessions, is arriving on Friday.

With an impressive list of duets, covers, and guests, the album consists of 16 tracks mostly recorded over the past 18 months during John’s personal experience of the pandemic.

After putting his live tour on hold due to COVID, John says that the process of creating the genre-melding, era-all-encompassing album helped the multi-Grammy winner out of his “comfort zone into completely new territory,” as he even recorded some of the songs over Zoom.

Fans of all ages and interests can expect to hear Dua Lipa, Stevie Wonder, Lil Nas X, Stevie Nicks, Eddie Vedder, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, and a few other famous friends across generations on The Lockdown Sessions at the end of the week.
