When Ed Sheeran dropped “Shape of You” after being away from the spotlight for so long it just about broke the Internet. The song was amazing, but it was even better because we had just missed his sound for such a long time. Well, the latest release of the Hot 100 chart from Billboard has meant something big for him and this hit. This week marks the 32nd week in a row of it being inside the top 10 on this chart!
This many weeks in a row ties “Closer” from The Chainsmokers and Halsey and “How Do I Live” from LeAnn Rimes as songs that spent the most time inside the top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. “Shape of You” sits at number nine on the latest version of the chart. Will it make it 33 weeks in a row? We’ll have to wait and see!
