Dryden Mitchell, Frontman for Alien Ant Farm, was charged with battery after he allegedly pulled a male fan’s hand onto his ” genital area” at a show located at the Broward Center For The Performing Arts in For Lauderdale on October 29th, 2022. If he ends up being found guilty of the accusation, he faces one year in prison.

According to video footage of the event, you can see the moment when the singer, “inexplicably clenched a fan’s outreached hand and placed it on his groin.” The fan filed an official complaint with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department on November 15th, alleging that he was assaulted. The Police report itself reads, “[The fan] said he had his fist in the air and was trying to get a picture with Mitchell,’ [He] advised that Mitchell grabbed his fist while it was in the air and pulled the fist into his private area (genital area) against his pants. [He] stated he immediately pulled his hand away at that point.'”

While the fan himself is quoted in saying, “I’ll be more than happy to speak later. I do want the story out there because what happened was not right.”
