It’s June 2 and we have officially played through two months in the baseball seasons. There has only been one time in MLB history that the division leaders of all six divisions at this point in the season have been the leaders by the end of the season, so a lot can change before we hit October. Let’s take a look at the American League today…
The American League East is being led by the Boston Red Sox. They’ve been loving the progression of Mookie Betts as a hitter. He has five home runs over his last two games! They’re two games up on the Orioles in the division.
The Royals have won eight of their last 10 games pushing them to the front of the division. The White Sox and Indians have struggled recently going a combined 8-12 over their last 10. The Royals also have a two-game lead in the division.
The tightest division race in the American League is the West. The Rangers are up on the Mariners by half of a game with a record of 31-22.
