Diane Lane Joins ‘House of Cards’ Cast For Final Season

The embattled Netflix series ‘House of Cards’ has weathered the Kevin Spacey storm over the last six months, announcing that work has begun on the program’s sixth and final season is underway, adding well-known stars Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear to the ensemble.

Diana Lane is a native New Yorker, starring in over 30 films, from ‘A Little Romance’ in 1979 to ‘The Cotton Club’ to ‘The Perfect Storm’ opposite Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney to ‘Under the Tuscan Sun,’ to her Academy nominated ‘Unfaithful’ opposite Richard Gere. Diane has been nominated for Golden Globe, Oscar, Prime Time Emmy and Screen Actors Guild honors through her 40+ year career.

Diane wed ‘Cotton Club’ actor Christopher Lambert in 1984, later divorcing, then was briefly married to Josh Brolin before then divorcing in 2013. It’s no secret the Netflix series is in desperate need of a makeover to get through the final season; the addition of Greg and Diane is thought to be the remedy.
