We’ve got some sad news to report, as Eddie Harsch, a former keyboardist with the Black Crowes, has died at the age of 59. Eddie played with the Crowes from 1991 to 2006, adding his keyboards to the wonderful tunes the band played. Rich Robinson recalls a great friend and partner in music, asking fans to remember him for his positive charm and easy going personality. Eddie Harsch, the man who tickled the ivories for your favorite Black Crowes songs is gone. The medical examiner has given no official cause of death.
In other concerning news, Mick Ralphs (Bad Company and the legendary ‘Mott the Hoople’) guitarist suffered a stroke a few days, although medical authorities seem upbeat about Mick’s prognosis. Mick is 72 and recently chose not to tour with Bad Company for period of time earlier this year. The Black Crowes Rich Robinson filled in for a few dates over the summer with Mick sitting out.
