The Moody Blues’ classic rock/symphony concept record, ‘Days of Future Passed,’ is celebrating its 50th birthday this November. Many in the media, and fans around the world were taken by the concept of the LP, the symphonic arrangements, and the incredible detail each song received when recorded. It’s ironic that some 50 years later, the Moody Blues have a good chance to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. Believe it or not the band was eligible for induction since 1989.
How good was this album? You can judge a project based on the singles released from the LP, so consider the song from this LP “Nights in White Satin” and “Tuesday Afternoon,” and you realize just how special this album is.
The restored 1967 mix of the once in a lifetime LP ‘Days of Future Passed’ will also be available for sale this November 17th, and it will feature alternate versions and out-takes from the original studio sessions.
