David Bowie is no longer with his, but his final album “Blackstar,” continues to live on, earning more awards.
“Blackstar” was Davids’ 25th and final album, released on his 69th birthday, January 9th, 2016. Sadly, David was in the midst of loosing his battle with cancer, passing away just one day later.
Recently the LP earned more recognition as a winner in the UK’s ‘Pop Music’ category at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards.
It’s not unusual for an artist to win an award or two after his death, but winning has been a habit for David since he’s been gone. The LP has also won the MasterCard British Album of the Year at the BRIT Awards, and four different awards at the Grammys earlier this year.
For those that have access to U.K. television the award show will be aired on Wednesday.
