The NFL has a policy where teams that have suspended players have to pay a fine depending on how many they hold on their roster. One team that is being impacted by this rule is the Dallas Cowboys. They currently have three suspended players on their roster and will be paying a hefty fine because of it.
These three players are none other than Randy Gregory, Rolando McClain and DeMarcus Lawrence. All three are defensive players and it is looking like the Cowboys will have to pay a fine of around $250,000 for holding them on their roster. This number is a good guess as to what their fine would be because that is what teams had to pay last season if they held three suspended players. Interestingly enough, these numbers change from year to year and the NFL hasn’t come out with this year’s number.
All three of these Cowboys players were suspended because of violations to the NFL’s policies on drugs.
