Christina Applegate, known for her role in “Dead to Me,” recently opened up about her challenging health experiences, including a severe case of sapovirus and ongoing battles with multiple sclerosis (MS). On the latest episode of her podcast, “MeSsy,” Christina recounted waking up unexpectedly in distress due to the virus, which is typically spread through fecal-oral transmission.
With her characteristic wit, Christina described the ordeal as “pissing out of my ass for a few days” and shared the difficulties of managing the situation while also dealing with MS. “I woke up at 3 o’clock in the morning in a pool of s–t. Didn’t know it happened, and having MS at 3 o’clock in the morning and trying to change your sheets, it’s not fun,” she explained.
The health scare began when she contracted COVID-19 for the first time from a close contact, which exacerbated her symptoms due to her compromised immune system. Christina experienced severe dizziness, an inability to eat, and additional gastrointestinal distress, which led to the sapovirus diagnosis.
Amidst the discussion, Christina humorously critiqued the design of adult diapers, questioning the necessity of making them aesthetically pleasing for women. Her candidness and humor in discussing such personal difficulties underscore her resilience and ability to find light in dark situations.
