“I didn’t really think about the impact and the person on the other side,” Chrissy Teigen admitted in the first interview conducted since her cyberbullying controversy was revealed over the summer when the model was accused of sending abusive direct messages to several people during her earlier years on the internet.
Teigen has since made a statement, as well as some public and personal apologies, regarding her nefarious actions. “The truth is, I’m no longer the person who wrote those horrible things. I grew up, got therapy, got married, had kids, got more therapy, experienced loss and pain, got more therapy and experienced more life. AND GOT MORE THERAPY,” she wrote on social media at the time.
Now, Teigen has reflected even further about herself, her past actions, and how she has changed.
“There’s this whole cliche, ‘I’m glad it happened,’ but truly it made me a stronger person, a better person,” Teigen said in her interview, expressing how she wants her children to see her as a good example. “I’m actually 100 days sober today. I feel very clearheaded.”
