Chic is Planning Reunion and New Album

In the 70s and early 80s, the band ‘Chic’ hit the charts with great songs like “Le Freak,” “Good Times,” and “I Want Your Love,” songs that reached at or near the top of the charts. The founder and driving force of Chic Nile Rogers has told friends and those in the music business that there will be a Chic album.

Chic has committed to play the wildly popular Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl this summer, surrounded by fellow bandmates, so a new album is the next logical step. What makes Chic and Nile so special, is their ability to write popular songs that appealed to more than fans of disco, with Nile showing off his producing talents by working with the day’s top artists not in disco, including Pharrell Williams, Diana Ross, and Duran Duran.

The upcoming Chic working title is ‘It’s About Time’ and will drop later this year.
