The band CHIC emerged during the disco craze with a few hits that were chart-toppers, “Freak Out” and “I Want Your Love” were big songs for the group, led by Nile Rodgers. Nile proved to be a talented musician, producer, and studio genius, moving forward after the band break-up with a successful solo career, filled with production credits.
Now Chic is back as the band debuted “Boogie All Night” with NAO and Mura Masa this week. The song is on the forthcoming Chic album called ‘It’s About Tim,’ CHIC’s first LP since 1992’s ‘Chic-ism.’ The upcoming album ‘It’s About Time ‘ has yet to have a release date attached to the press release. Nile Rodgers has worked with an enormous list of bands, producing or co-producing songs from Duran Duran, David Bowie, The Thompson Twins, Diana Ross, Mick Jagger and Debbie Harry. Nile Rodges and CHIC are currently in the UK appearing at festivals and stadiums, returning to New York in early September.
