On Monday, September 9th, Chance the Rapper postponed his upcoming tour, just days shy of the trek’s first show, which was slated to hit San Francisco on September 14th.
With the North American tour being pushed back until 2020, fans will be given the opportunity to obtain full refunds. Dates are still waiting to be rescheduled in locations such as Ottawa, Newark, Omaha, Tulsa, Tampa, St. Louis and St. Paul.
“I thought it over for the past week and I’ve decided to push back my tour,” he wrote. “I need to be as helpful and available as possible to my wife in these early months of raising Kensli and Marli. I apologize because I know how many people were counting on seeing me soon, but I hope you’ll understand and forgive me in time. Tour kicks off Jan. 15th.”
“We congratulate Chance on the birth of his daughter and support him while he takes time to be with his family. We are thrilled to welcome him back on the road in 2020,” Live Nation said in a statement. The updated tour now begins on Jan. 15 in San Diego.
