You can’t escape the tragedy of gun violence and the damage it leaves behind; now George and Amal Clooney, Steven Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, and Oprah have put their money where their mouth is on this issue by donating $500,000 each to the new charity ‘Our Lives’ movement.
In other charitable moments, you may have seen video of little children being told that they will be going to the ‘Black Panther’ movie, courtesy of stars like Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer and New York-based Frederick Joseph who created the ‘Black Panther Challenge’ on a new GoFundMe page, raising over $40,000 for children in Harlem to see the movie free.
Ellen DeGeneres typically supports PETA and Stand Up 2 Cancer, Brad Pitt created the ‘Make it Right’ foundation helping those that lost homes in Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, and Tom Hanks always supports children’s causes, from the ‘Elevate Hope Foundation’ to ‘Hole in the Wall Foundation.’
