We hope you and your family had a wonderful long July 4th weekend. Yes, work is still here. Yesterday we shared a few of the most patriotic songs from your favorite country singers and bands. The list was so long we actually need two days to finish that thought. Here is the completion of our favorite 4th of July tunes…
“Everyday America” by the Atlanta born duo Sugarland tells the tale of how simple life can be in America, and it’s the little things that make this country great.
“Only In America” by Brooks & Dunn, the second single from the ‘Steers and Stripes’ album, released a few months prior to the 911 tragedy at the World Trade Center, the song grasps what it’s like to be an American. Whether you’re on a school bus or a first responder, it’s your spirit that makes this country great.
“Living in the Promiseland” by Willie Nelson is the classic July 4th song in that it seems autobiographical, the story of an Austin song writer who was a nobody in the Folk music world, becoming one of the greatest county singers of our time.
Finally, Waylon Jennings and “America” is the song we’d like to hear any time of year, but particularly in the most patriotic day of the year. Have a great short work week everybody!
