Cardinals and Astros Drama Continues

It wasn’t that long ago that Chris Correa, the former director of scouting for the St. Louis Cardinals, was sentenced to almost four years in prison for unauthorized access of a protected computer. Now, more has come from this crazy situation.

Correa hacked into Houston’s database and looked into their scouting notes, obviously gaining an advantage that was illegal. This all occurred during the 2013 and 2014 seasons, but just last year came out.

Monday, MLB ruled on the matter and has laid out the punishment for the Cardinals. They are to send their top two draft picks in this year’s draft as well as $2 million to make up for Correa’s wrongdoing.

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred made the decision on Monday and Deadspin among others have shown the statement that he made about the matter.
