Britney Spears’ Conservatorship is Suspended in Recent Hearing

Earlier last week, during a court hearing in Los Angeles, a judge finally approved Britney Spears’ petition to suspend her father, Jamie Spears, from his controversial conservatorship beginning in 2008. While John Zabel was appointed as the pop star’s temporary conservator, there is an upcoming hearing to resolve the issue of terminating the conservatorship completely.

In a string of ecstatic Instagram posts and updates following this recent October hearing, Spears expressed her excitement through emojis and risqué selfies in celebration of a huge step toward independence.

A few months back, during a previous hearing, Spears expressed her desire to marry and have another child, but the conservatorship prevented her from doing so. As the role of control becomes smaller and smaller, so grows the possibility that Spears can do just that and more.
