Gentle reader, Nicola Coughlan isn’t just the diamond of the season in the fictional world of “Bridgerton.” The Irish actor is also the star of Skims’ newest campaign — another example of Kim Kardashian’s brand successfully casting a celebrity at the height of pop-culture relevance.
As Fashionista reports, Coughlan, who is riding the crest of the super successful second half launch of Season 3 of the series, wears the long slip and long sleeve dresses from the SKIMS’ Soft Lounge collection.
“I’m so honored to be in Skims’ latest campaign! I’ve been a fan of Skims since the beginning. It’s been my on-set lounging outfit since day one,” Coughlan said in a press release. “I love that it’s a brand that makes everyone look and feel amazing.”
Each photo, lensed by Elizaveta Porodina, places the actor in front of pastel-hued florals with soft lighting for an ethereal feeling. The romantic sensuality of the campaign almost seems to parallel Penelope Featherington’s glowed-up journey this season as she comes into her own.
“Everyone knows I’ve been a huge fan of Nicola and ‘Bridgerton’ since the beginning, so for her to star in our Soft Lounge campaign is a full circle moment!” Kardashian continued in the release, adding that Coughlan “is such an inspiration on-screen and beyond.”
