October is one of the best months of the year as we have so much going on in sports. Most notably, we have the MLB playoffs mixed with collegiate and professional football being in full swing. Heading into October, the Boston Red Sox are leading the way, the only team with 100+ wins at this point in the season. Amazingly enough, no other team has more than 94 wins while the Red Sox are sitting here at 103.
The American League is stacked with star power as we see the Astros (94), Yankees (91), and the A’s (90) all over 90 wins. The AL Central-leading Indians are sitting in first in their division with 83 wins and would wrap up the playoff teams from the American League if the season were to end today.
In the National League, we see a whole lot of parity. The Braves are leading the East with 83 wins while the NL Central is stacked with three teams (Cubs, Brewers, and Cardinals) all over 83 wins. The NL West has done quite well for itself with the Dodgers and Rockies sitting at 83 and 82 wins respectively.
