Blake Shelton Shares Gift That is a Personal Favorite of His

According to tasteofcountry.com, Over Blake Shelton’s career he has received many awards, gifts, and accolades, however, none of those things compare to one item he has received. According to an Instagram post made by the Country singer he stated, “I have been blessed in my lifetime to have received some incredible gifts and awards and things that will always mean a lot to me, But on a personal level this just might top them all. Thank you @jimmiejohnson. It is an honor and a privilege to call you my friend.” Jimmie Johnson, presented the singer with a commemorative military NASCAR helmet that featured his father Dick Shelton. Shelton’s Father passed away at the age of 71 back in 2012. The helmet was actually designed by Shelton and Johnson for the Indy 500 that took place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Memorial Day weekend of this year where the country star also served as a Grand Marshall for the Indy 500. Johnson quickly replied on social media saying, “Thanks my friend, the honor and privilege was all mine.” The pair created the helmet to honor those lost serving this nation and is titled the Helmet of Heroes.
